Change of plans for Sunday 3Aug

No more League game @ St Wilfred game on Sun 3 Aug
As informed earlier, our team will no longer be playing the first league game this Sun(3 Aug) at St Wilfred due to our co-team's request. Our co-team's name is MBOG btw so im gonna use tt from now on. 2 reasons why we are giving up tt slot. 1) Most of their guys are working on shifts so it just happened that they can make it for the game this Sunday. 2) There will be no matches on Kak Yah's big day. It has been pushed to the day before (Sat 16 aug @ 3pm). So i thought we could take up this fixture and then go to Cik Pie/Cik Yah's majlis after tt. Sorry to disrupt the excitement of those who are all geared up for the league. Hope u guys understand y we've given up tt first fixture.

It's Now a Friendly game at Broadrick Sec(near Old Airport Road)
Moving on to the new plan for Sunday, I have booked Broadrick Sec @ 9am via referee Salih. It will cost us $80 but at least we get to play in the morning. We're wearing our infamous Blue kit(which has lost a certain amount of invincibility in recent games). The idea of the friendly is to increase the above mentioned invincibility, get our team back in shape, and boost our confidence before we play a competitive match. Im hoping to get at least 13. Thus far, only 10 players have confirmed their attendance: Shahrudin, Shukur, Imran, Faizul, Saifudin, Sharil Kak Noni, Faisal, Khairul,Khairil,Hisyam. Waiting confirmation from Aril,Naufal & Suhaimi. Reasons cited for non-attendees are mountain climbing course(No16-ala-Captain-Keane Zulkhairi), support children in sports meet(Kadir-Yahya-Lookalike Fazlon), help Sister's wedding preparations(Fulltime-RIGHT-Back Luqman) & picking up a pretty serious injury(Wonderkid-ala-Theo-Walcott Syukri). Depending on the extent of the damage, he may or may not participate in the league. We all at TeamCuzz wish him a speedy recovery. We'll meet up as usual, rain or shine, at Shahrudin's carpark at 8am latest. Hopefully everyone can meet up uh rather than go on their own. Kalau tak, defeats the purpose for those who meet up punctually.


Finances & Payment
In other news, i have made the payment of $700 to the organisers. No receipt was issued, however, he assured me by giving the details of the MDIS staff who collected the payment. Talking about payment, i would wish to remind you that each player is to pay $25. So kalau lum bayar, pepaham jelah haha. Our depleting TeamCuzz fund is also in desperate need of money. A gentle reminder: Pay up, or else...


Fixtures
With the payment comes the fixtures for Aug, as listed below. Being a really semi-amateur League in its pioneer season, they cannot release fixtures for the whole season due to the simple fact that they are only allowed to book pitches a month in advance. Selection of fixtures will be pitched to you guys this coming sunday.

3 Aug(Sun) - 1300-1500h - St Wilfred - MBOG
16 Aug(Sat) - 1500-1700h - Woodlands Sec - TeamCuzz???
23 Aug(Sat) - 1700-1900h - Woodlands Sec - MBOG???
31 Aug(Sun) - 1300-1500h - St Wilfred - TeamCuzz???


Other Points to Note
The Organiser also alerted me on some very important points to note during my converstaion with him at MDIS earlier. Here's a summary.

  • Fixtures during Ramadhan has yet to be confirmed as they are making bookings on a month-to-month basis. But, there is a high chance that all 4 weekends in September will be filled with games. Relish the challenge.
  • Depending on the fixtures in September, the league might last up till October or even late November.
  • A blog will be set up for us to view fixtures,results and league table.I'll inform the address once it is made available.
  • It is essential to note whether we are home or away team as it determines the color of jersey we wear. In addition, the home team will provide the match ball(at least 2 must be brought). This is no problem for us given they Adidas-entered-construction-site-on-debut-Pelias & the many Nike balls bought & found.
  • Over the course of the season, do not rule out the possibility that other teams might join. In such an event, we will need to top up the balance at the same rate of $70 per game.
