After months of speculation, TeamCuzz finally managed to secure their first and only signing of the summer with the capture of Right Back/ Right Winger Riduan. The deal was secured as early as 17 Aug, but work permit issues caused a delay in the move. Fortunately, the paperwork was resolved in time, with the London Stock Exchange being informed 2 minutes before the midnight deadline.
TeamCuzz were looking at 3 players - RobinWho, ArshaWin and Riduan - to improve their play, especially down the flanks. All 3 have been rated with the same regard. Having been priced out of market for the fleet footed Brazilian with the vast financial strenght of Sheikh Al-Fahim's Man City, and Zenit Petersburg's reluctance to let go of their Russian maestro, TeamCuzz went in swiftly for Riduan. From then on, it was just a question of when, not if.
"This is a dream move for me. I have played with the lads once at East Coast Cage, and I must say this is an exceptional bunch," said the ecstatic Riduan, as he answered questions from the media.
The move echoes Captain Shahrudin's stand on the need for more signings to beef up TeamCuzz's thin squad, as reported previously. Riduan has been handed the number 3 (blue) jersey. He is expected to have his full debut on 13Sept against Chesire United.
