What's the difference between a Lion and a Tiger?

In what seemed like a Zoological outing (no disrespect meant whatsoever), TeamCuzz found themselves up against fiercely named opponents. It also marked a weekend which mirrored BPL's christmas schedule, with a couple of games played in as many days. On Saturday, TeamCuzz met Gaelic Lions in a league match while the day after, it was a friendly against Tiger (in the) Woods FC. Both took place at quality astro turf pitches.

The game on Saturday was delayed by a half due to heavy rain and lots and lots of dark clouds and lightning. What is interesting here was that the weather seemed so much worse than a week before, but the game still continued. Just goes to show how sporting some seafood team can be. Anyway, TeamCuzz heeded neither the "Don't Enter Cage" warning (from God in the form of the super heavy thunderstorm) nor the "Don't feed hungry Lions" sign (from the obvious fact that they really, REALLY wanted to play). The lions showcased their fangs and claws as they bathed joyfully in the heavy rain. Like an innocent child intrigue by mother nature, TeamCuzz got out of their safe vehicles and willingly entered the cage. What's worse was TeamCuzz even fed those lions with baits they could not resist. The result - TeamCuzz were clobbered and mauled in the first half. Even that could be an understatement.

It was much better in the second for TeamCuzz, just like how an innocent child could grow from various experiences in life. They even held their own, while managing to step on a few "ants" present in the cage, and even wrestled the beast to the ground on some occasions. Whether the child will grow into a man in a short 3 week period remains to be seen, for that is when they will enter a different cage facing the same lions again.

With such high intensity (or lack of it) on Saturday, TeamCuzz went into the wild this time around and found Tigers in the Woods. They accepted the challenge of a fight , and never regretted it. When it was first feared that they could be educated Tigers, once met and known to be pretty fierce, they turned out to be golfers playing for the 3 words soccer should really be about - fun. Having been through such a tough time the day before, it was an opportunity for TeamCuzz to express themselves the best way they know. Even with several players out, and playing at nowhere near their full potential nor positions, they put on their style to tame the Tigers. The Tigers managed to bite off a little bit, but the bout never looked threatened at all. In the end, a great outing to make up for disappointment a day before.

That was the little outing TeamCuzz had over the weekend. So, when your child asks, "Dad, what is the difference between a lion and a tiger?", don't just say it is the stripes (or spelling for some lame ones), for there's definitely more to it.
