A Muddy Affair

Syukri's near post shot, Syazrin's hat-trick and Shukur's penalty - all in 25, 2nd half minutes - gave TeamCuzz a deserved victory against a hardworking Arizen side. While the final scoreline might suggest some degree of comfort, it must be said that TeamCuzz struggled in the 1st half, in particular, adapting their style of play to the poor conditions of the Bedok North pitch.

3 of 14 of our awesome attacking & defensive units for the day, respectively.

"We were certainly getting frustrated with ourselves out there!" said Haidhar, who put in a sterling performance from midfield to take home the Man-of-the-Match award. He was spot-on given TeamCuzz missed chance after chance in the 1st half despite having the lion's share of possession.

The 2nd half showed a marked improvement, with the team settling better and dictating play like they did in the previous game against RedsagaII. It bore dividends through the goals scored as well as many chances in between, including a handful of one-on-one chances and rattling the crossbar a couple of times.

A huge sigh of relief after the 1st goal; a well-taken penalty for the last.

"I am proud of Syukri and Haidhar today for their hardwork and persistence," said Manager Shahrudin, who managed to arrive in time after his mobilisation exercise. "Despite not having much goals to show for their excellent performances, both are showing maturity beyond their ages to put the team first."

After 2 wins out of 2, TeamCuzz sits pretty at the top for now. But that will mean nothing if they aren't in the same position come April.

"Reminder: If you cannot make it for any game, please inform our Manager at least 2 days in advance. Fyi, none who did not turn up did. And that is really disappointing.
