Injury-ravaged TeamCuzz emerges unscathed

An under-strength TeamCuzz mustered enough in themselves to notch 3 big points against the ever-explosive Dynamites. Having faced problems to put together a team for the game, TeamCuzz turned up comprising of the walking-wounded (no less than 4 players), inexperienced (3), as well as those who compromised other commitments to play (2).

In lieu of Aril's ankle injury, TeamCuzz called upon the services of Naimm for his first competitive game in goal. The young lad did well and showed sufficient confidence in protecting TeamCuzz's goal, with 4 of his senior cousins forming the defensive line in front of him. Although a mistake at the end of the 1st half provided Dynamites with an equalizer, there is no doubt that TeamCuzz should provide Naimm with sufficient opportunities and support to grow as a goalkeeper. Credit is also reserved for Aril, who decided to come on in the 2nd half to aid TeamCuzz's cause.

At the other end, a 76.14% fit Shahrudin made the difference with 2 classic finishes, and had a hand in the 3rd. His first was courtesy of Syafiq's hardwork of bearing down on the goalie to force a mistake. With sufficient composure, TeamCuzz's player-manager placed the ball into the back of the net from way out. His second was courtesy of a counter-attack, with Haidhar providing the final pass to put the maestro clear and finished with a low-driller into the back of the net for his 6th this season. TeamCuzz's third came from a corner, where Razif put enough pressure on the opposing defender to force an own goal at the near post.

Dynamites did pull a goal back through a controversial penalty late on, and continued to push forward for the equalizer. They had a chance to do so right at the death, but poor finishing meant TeamCuzz went away with maximum points. And their slim title hopes intact.
