Next Game: Real Ale Madrid

As we prepare for battle against opponents whom we know only too well, here's a quick flashback at of the 5 previous games against them:

20 June 2009, Orchid Park Sec, 1-6 First game in division 2 with a patched-up team facing a striker only known then as "Botak" or Andrew Johnson. After he notched 4 goals, including a 1st half hat-trick which saw us dominate yet trail by 3, we stood up along with everyone in the division to call him by his name - Olai. It was truly a game to forget, epitomized by a late challenge which nearly led to a massive brawl, countless thrash-talking and threatened to put a great divide within TeamCuzz. On a positive note, it was one of TeamCuzz's defining moments.

17 October 2009, First Toa Payoh Sec, 4-2 Out for revenge, we armed ourselves with 2 of our more deadliest strikers then - Joseph and Haifizzudin - as we knew we had to score more than them since it was almost useless to try to stop Olai from scoring. All that was anticipated became reality, with the abovementioned strikers scoring 5 of the 6 goals. But the best goal had to belong to the other guy who was not mentioned above.

17 April 2010, Jurong Stadium, 4-1 The early came late, and the late came early. It was obvious that TeamCuzz was not accustomed to playing at 1700hrs. However, neither did we use that nor the seemingly bad weather nor the absence of our 2 out-to-out strikers to go home without maximum points. Syed finished with all 4 goals to his name - a lob, an opportunistic tap-in, a clinical touch and a top-corner finish. It must be said though that TeamCuzz had outstanding performers all over that day.

22 May 2010, Temasek Sec, 5-2 Having officially brushed aside our fear of facing physically imposing expat teams, we played our silky football to good effect and dominated from the word go. By half-time, we had the game done and dusted, and still had the luxury of 3 MJC stars to beef our line-up. 2nd half saw Haikal grabbing his hat-trick with a left foot shot into the roof of the net.

12 February 2011, Temasek Sec, 6-1 Dazzling display by Player-Manager Shahrudin, notching a hat-trick from his new defensive position. Once again, a scintilating 1st half display saw us running away with a 5-1 lead by halftime.

All in all, it is obvious that this is a high scoring fixture, with 32 goals amassed thus far and each game having no less than 5 goals. There has also been hat-tricks in all but one of these games. Let's keep this trend going!
