TeamCuzz Wins again

TeamCuzz steamrolled to their 3rd win in quick succession, beating North East Wanderers 4-1 at 1st Toa Payoh Sec. Although they were sluggish at the start, perhaps due to complacency of facing the so-called "whipping boys", they got in front as changes were made halfway through the first half. The man who made the biggest difference was Syed Iskandar, who came on to score twice almost instantly. The player, who has permanently signed a contract till the end of the season, scored both of TeamCuzz's goals in the 1st half to make it 7 career TeamCuzz goals in as many matches. He would have easily claimed the MoTM award if not for the outstanding recruit Hyder, who once again bossed the midfield like a lieutenant.

TeamCuzz had their resolve tested at the end of the half, with Wanderers pulling one back through their banana-boots striker as well as a long delay to what seemed like a heat stroke suffered by the opposing custodian. However, TeamCuzz prevailed and made the game theirs with 2 more goals after the interval. Hafizzudin scored the first, and then played a big part to set up the second for Haikal to slam home from close range. Above everything else, TeamCuzz used every single resource they had for the day, without compromising on the shape of the team or the outcome of the match. It is noteworthy though that TeamCuzz needs to continue improving on their game as the next game will be against all-time favourites Blue Oysters, who thumped fellow title challengers Team Bravo 6-1.

In the meantime, TeamCuzz will take a week break as the club focuses on sealing a transfer on the last day of the January transfer window. Subject to passing a medical, the player will be signing his contract on Saturday while being unveiled to the press and public the following day. Hopefully, everything will run as smoothly as it should.
