January's Goal of the Month

Here's Martyn Tiler's commentary in the build up to the 5 best goals scored by TeamCuzz in the month of January. Vote for your best!

Syazrin vs RedSagaII, 17th Minute, 1-0: "Oh what a block from Faizul! And the fullback continues that outstanding move with a nice pass to Khairil in the middle of the park. Khairil now runs forcefully towards the Saga half. The front two are running into space but I am not sure if Khairil can see their runs from down there. Ohhh he does, and picks out the onrushing Syazrin with a perfect through ball. Syazrin now charges at goal with pace. He holds off the challenge from a Saga defender, gives himself some space and shoots witrh his left. What a goal!!!!! From defence to attack in an instant!"

Haidhar vs RedSagaII, 33rd Minute, 2-1: "Haidhar's shot is blocked by the wall of Saga defenders. But the ball has fallen kindly back to him with only the goalkeeper to beat. He takes a touch to control the ball. What will he do now? Oh he clips it over the goalie with his instep. In off the bar. What a cheeky goal!!!! The goal will surely have a drastic impact on both team manager's halftime teamtalk."

Zulkhairi vs Sufi, 6th Minute, 1-0: "Syazrin races to a hopeful ball by Imran. He reaches the ball ahead of the defender and cuts back with a low cross looking for his strike partner Syukri. But the ball is slightly behind Syukri, though he looks most likely to reach the ball first. But he continues to let it run and leaves it to an onrushing TeamCuzz player. That player is Zulkhairi and here he comes. He connects with the ball perfectly to guide the ball beyond the flailing arms of the goalkeeper. Goal for TeamCuzz early on in the game! And what a special from the veteran midfielder, scoring after a year-long drought and in his first start at his favoured DM berth this season."

Haidhar vs Sufi, 71st Minute, 2-1: "Both teams seem to be resigned to a draw considering most of the game now is being played out in midfield, as we are witnessing here. Syazrin chases a loose ball which Sufi's centrehalf calmly deals with, passing to his partner. Oh wait a minute, Haidhar is pouncing onto that pass. He puts the defender under pressure and the defender slips. It is now Haidhar one-on-one with the goalie. He takes a few strides forward as the goalie charges out like a raging bull. Haidhar's final touch seems to have gotten away from him. Oh he drags it sideways beyond the outstrecthced arms of the goalie and passes the ball into the back of the net. Advantage TeamCuzz in this close tie!"

Shahrudin vs FakeMadrid, 67th Minute, 2-2: "TeamCuzz trails by a goal now, and a set-piece seems the best bet at them equalizing, as evident in this replay of Shahrudin's freekick that we are watching now. Shahrudin stands over the ball and waves to his charges to make their runs into the area. He sends one in. The flight of the ball seems to suggest it is heading towards the far post. But no, the curl on the ball makes it bend further and deceives the goalie. The goalie makes a desperate attempt at reaching it but only manges a weak palm on the ball. Goal!!!! Straight from the corner. The TeamCuzz maestro has done it again and TeamCuzz are level with about 10 minutes to go!"
