2nd Cleansheet Attained against Resilient Premier

Before the game, 5 questions were posed to TeamCuzz. Well, here's their reply.

1) Having drawn against Premier the previous 2 times, can TeamCuzz return to winning ways as they did when they first met?
Yes, a resounding 5-0 victory was the outcome.

2) Will TeamCuzz play and win comfortably, or dig deep as in the previous game? TeamCuzz did play and win comfortably, but Premier certainly showed they weren't pushovers, resiliently closing down TeamCuzz's every pass / move.

3) With the 4th worst defensive record in the league, can TeamCuzz register a cleansheet for only the 2nd time this season? For all the emphasis on defence this season, TeamCuzz can finally show something for it this time. Premier were reduced to 0 shots on target - credit to the defensive unit of Riduan, Saifuddin, Aidil, Fazlon, Anuar and Luqman for that. The disciplined defence was also given sufficient cover from midfield, in particular Naufal, who closed down every opportunity which Premier had outside the area.

4) With the best attack in the league, can TeamCuzz edge even further ahead? Will Syazrin break his mini-goal drought? Yes and yes. 5 goals were scored, with plenty other chances not converted. Goals were scored by Faisal (after a good run and excellent pass from Khairil), Syazrin (1st, a left foot half-volley from Luqman's cross; 2nd, an intelligent pass-and-go with Shahrudin; 3rd, a sweet lob over the ever-enthusiastic GK after Saifuddin's long punt upfield) and Khairil (after running from the halfway line to latch on to Syazrin's throughball and sidefooting into the back of the net, similar to the goal he scored againts Tuas Soccerites about a year ago). With that, TeamCuzz now has 10 different scorers contributing 28 goals in 8 games!

But of the lot, the best move of the match had to be Faisal's marauding run down the right flank, where having picked up the ball from TeamCuzz's own half, he took on defender after defender before delivering a low cross which Syukri did not manage to get a clean contact on the ball to do the move any justice.

5) Will TeamCuzz turn up early for a team warm-up? Sadly, this a a resounding NOoooooo. Most ended up rushing to gear up (including this reporter), with hardly any stretching done and a makeshift briefing by V/Capt. This has to change, starting from the next game that TeamCuzz takes to the field. But for now, TeamCuzz takes a week break as they turn their attention to being 'Kompang Boys' for the coming weekend. That might prove to be the biggest challenge of the season.
