A Much-Needed Break

TeamCuzz takes a long-needed break this weekend after a heavy schedule of matches that wasn't any close to the Chrsitmas schedule in many prominent leagues in Europe. Although 4 matches had been played, only 3 were considered league matches following Dynamo's withdrawal after Thaksin sold off all his shares following 0 points from a possible 15. Having walked out of games before, Dynamo finally decided to walk out on the league too. With that, 3 points and 4 goals were chalked off from TeamCuzz, leaving them languishing in 2nd last position (technically 3rd last since Dynamo is the ultimate cellar dwellar).

The weekend though shall not be spoilt by an unsporting pink team who gives up so early they shouldn't have joined at all. The weekend shall and will then be remembered as a weekend to behold, as it marks the wedding of TeamCuzz's very own star stopper, Khairul.

Khairul started off as a lethal striker, having all sorts of armoury to instill fear in the opposing defence. His pace leaves defenders in their wake, while his deadly shots were faster than Pele's. He scored for fun during his early days, and even grabbed a goal during TeamCuzz's mauling of Team Hummel at the once-existent Marina pitch.

Tired of scoring, he then rose to the challenge of defending the goal he once used to target. With that, he has switched to playing across the back four, but his best position is arguably as the stopper. His no-nonsense approach has frustrated many and likened to Portugese star Ricardo Carvalho. Although some pace has deserted him, he has made up for it in aggression and strength. Yet, he still has not lost much of his striking abilities, showcasing them continuously in the recent game against Team Pierce at Mayflower Secondary.

The wedding ceremony will be held somewhere in a small town in a small island. The exact venue has not been revealed due to concerns over uninvited paparazzis swarming the occassion. It is reported that only close family and friends were invited. Among the high-profile non-invites were Didier Drogba (busy with bringning Chelsea back to where they belong - the league's summit), Cristiano Ronaldo (scouting for mansions in Madrid for his proposed move in the summer), Arsene Wenger (scouting for yet more youths to try and win the Carling Cup) and V Sundramoorthy (still pondering how he majestically scored a bicycle kick against Brunei 15 years ago).

On behalf of the team, we hope that the ceremony will run as smoothly as planned, and that the couple would have a blessful marriage. And we welcome Ms Lyana as the latest addition into KH, and the latest WAC into TeamCuzz.

Majulah TeamCuzz!
